Chris Tanner has been a broker and affiliated with Somer Real Estate since 1995. “Your home is my business.” has been Chris’ motto since his first day in real estate. Chris’ background includes 37 years as a police officer, the last 30 with the Salem Police Department. He currently serves as a regional planning coordinator with the Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System (ILEAS) for 19 counties and 85 agencies. When a large incident or disaster strikes a community or area, he assists the Chief or Sheriff with coordinating the incoming state agencies and obtaining resources such as additional officers, equipment, and communication capabilities.
His interests include spending time with his family and six grandchildren. He also enjoys taking photos and hiking in wilderness areas. Another interest includes searching for new BBQ venues to share on his social media.
