This large beautiful brick home has been used as a Fraternity House for several years. There are 19 bedrooms with two of the 6 bedrooms on the main floor having their full private bathrooms, also with additional 1.5 bathrooms, on the lower floor there are 3 bedrooms, one full bath, and in the upstairs there are 11 bedrooms and one large bathroom with three toilets and 5 showers and 3 sinks. The Fraternity had all 18 bedrooms filled and the Landlord allowed the Director (which WIU required) to stay in the house for free. Due to Covid, the membership fell off, and SAE are down to ten members with five members living in the house. My understanding was there had been no recruiting last year, and maybe the year before. One of the furnaces and Air-conditioners were replaced two years ago, some bathrooms and the kitchen, were updated , as well as copper water pipes replaced with pex and updating as needed. A complete Sprinkler system was installed, which cost over thirty thousand.
